Interesting facts about sheep

Sheep are clever animals that can recognize up to 50 other sheep faces and remember them for two years. They can also recognize human faces, such as their favorite caregivers.   

Sheep are herbivores that live solely on plants, grass, and seeds. They are ruminant animals, which means their stomach has four compartments.   

Sheep have no upper teeth and only have teeth on their lower jaw. As they get older, they get more teeth.   

Sheep were the first animal domesticated in Asia, over 10,000 years ago.   

Humans have bred sheep to continually grow wool. Unlike domestic sheep, wild sheep types naturally shed most of their wool each year.   

Sheep experience multiple emotions, including happiness, fear, anger, rage, despair, and boredom. They communicate different emotions with vocalizations.   

Sheep are able to medicate and look after themselves with certain wild plants and shrubs.
